Copper and manganese together give this tourmaline a soft, glowing lavender. Cuprian tourmaline from the old Mozambique material is rare, and this is a big, clean cushion of over 13 mm with a brilliant crown and a step pavilion.

It comes with GIA report 6562582191, which identifies it as a tourmaline that contains copper and manganese and records no indications of heating. GIA notes that its properties are not consistent with what the trade calls “paraíba tourmaline”. The report is included in the price.
